Acacia Gum
Derived from the sap of the African acacia tree, Gum Acacia is one of the world’s most common gums with the longest history. We use the raw materials from the finest acacias trees, processed in a proprietary process to maximize emulsification properties. The exclusive filtration system yields the highest purity possible. Used as emulsifier for our creams and lotions it is all natural and is Kosher but not for Passover.

Aloe Vera Gel
Contains 99.7% pure organic Aloe Vera, and natural preservatives and stabilizers consisting of Potassium Sorbate, and Citric Acid at a percentage not to exceed 0.3%.

Essential Oils
The essential oils used in our products are 100% pure steam distilled plant oils with an unsurpassable fragrance, exceptional depth, magnificent keynote, and are free of carriers, diluents and other inputs. We have searched and found some of the worlds’ most magnificent therapeutic grade oils from reputable distillers and suppliers we know, trust, and have a wonderful working relationship with. These essential oils are processed from freshly harvested material within clean distilleries. We demand of our vendors gas chromatography analysis and specifications on the volatility and integrity for the essential oils we use. We pursue vendors that are committed to organic agriculture to ensure the highest quality for our products. We perform painstaking research when we decide to use a particular distiller’s oil and insist on the location of harvest, methods used to extract the oils, data reports assuring the oils character, and what type of material is used in the distillation process.

All of the essential oils we stock are obtained by steam distillation of fresh plant material with the exception of Citrus Oils- All citrus oils used are distilled strictly through cold pressed methods, and no steam distillation was employed to produce these oils.

Emulsifying Wax, Vegetable-Based
Our Emulsifying Wax NF is a waxy solid prepared from Cetostearyl Alcohol containing a polyoxyethylene derivative of a fatty acid ester of sorbitan. Cetostearyl Alcohol (aka cetearyl alcohol) is a blend of Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol. These two fatty alcohols are derived from vegetable sources. This wax is not treated with a detergent. It is used as an emulsifier is our creams and lotions.

Due to their rich content in nutritive elements FRESH CELLS™ bring to the skin all the benefits of the original plants. The molecular make up of FRESH CELLS™ provides the skin with the known effects of each plant. 100% natural; these complete extracts of fruits and vegetables are solvent and colorant free. The size, shape, color and action of the FRESH CELLS™ will differ according to the plant from which they are extracted.

Fruit and Vegetables Extracts

Water plays a pivotal role in skincare. It is the link between a cosmetic cream and the skin; between the active principles and their target – your skin. Pure and precious, rich in naturally bioavailable components -vegetable water, the natural constituent of plants, can awaken the skin. Refined by the plant itself, this genuine water inherits from its source a most valuable composition rich in essential oils, mineral salts and trace elements.

State-of-the-art processes allow for the extraction this “green” water, and the purest vegetal waters These natural constituents of plants, best protected during the extraction time and purely authentic, result from a sophisticated and elaborate process implemented by Nature itself. Our vendor in France is a leader in this extraction processes and is certified by Ecocert. The Ecocert designation denotes that the standards used to manufacture this ingredient have exceeded FDA requirements.

Hydrosols
Hydrosols have similar properties to essential oils but are much less concentrated. Unlike their "essential oil added to water" counterparts, true steam-distilled hydrosols contain all the beneficial components that whole plant materials have to offer.

Hydrosols are usually a by-product of essential oil production, but the highest quality comes from devoted distillers who, with artist-like precision, steam small batches of fresh floral and plant material strictly to produce hydrosol. At Faraya Skin Care we research and only use hydrosols that are produced in this fashion. Most of our hydrosols are distilled in copper stills, (a few in stainless steel stills) and processed through certified organic methods in Washington, California and Europe. In most hydrosols there is less than 5% actual oil.

Clinically, the chemical components in the hydrosol are primarily acids, which are hydrophilic (water-loving). Why do they work? They acidify the water in the product, which is beneficial to the skin or in the body. Thus the hydrosol acts as a healing anti-inflammatory and mild, but therapeutic antiseptic.

Lactic Acid
L-lactic acid is natural component of the human body, and is an effective skin rejuvenator, because it is one part of the Nature Moisturizing Factor (NMF), and has skin cell renewal activity. Lactates can suppress the formation of tyrosinase, so that it can inhibit and prevent pigmentation in the skin. It can be used to treat age spots and freckles and improve the levels of ceramide in the skin, preventing dry-skin, and improving the barrier function of the skin.

Naturagard™
This is the preservative that we use in our creams and lotions. It is 100% derived from vegetable sources and is Ecocert certified. The Ecocert designation denotes that the standards used to manufacture this ingredient have exceeded FDA requirements.

Rosemary Antioxidant (Extract)
The organic Rosemary antioxidant used by Faraya Skin Care contains healthy quantities of rosmarinic acid, the key compound in Rosemary, which is essential for stabilizing the shelf life of our skin care products.
Contains: Certified organic Rosemary extract produced via supercritical CO2 extraction infused in certified organic Olive Oil to make it more soluble

Vegetable and Carrier Oils
The quality of our products is extremely important to us and we only use oils known for their full bodied aroma and color. We ensure that our vendors have firm procedures in place to ensure that the oils are screened, analyzed and sampled by our quality control department. All of this is done to protect the very properties of the oil that make our skincare line of high quality products.

The plant oils we use are extracted through expeller or cold pressed methods. We do not employ the use of solvent, hexane or alcohol extraction, and we do not use oils that have been processed through heat intensive hydraulic extraction. These methods produce relatively unhealthy oils that lack in the qualities we require for our products.

All of the food grade vegetable and carrier oils used to make our creams and lotions are Certified Earth Kosher.

Vegetable Glycerine
This pure 100% USP grade vegetable glycerine (glycerin) is used in our skin care products to assist in retaining moisture and is helpful in pulling oxygen into the skin. Vegetable glycerine is a natural emollient that adds a cooling effect on the skin.

Vegetable glycerine is also the principal medium for our non-alcohol based herbal extracts, which are called glycerites. This makes for a sweet alcohol free extract that can be easily administered to children, animals and those with alcohol sensitivities. Kosher certified.

Witch Hazel Extract
All of the food grade vegetable and carrier oils used to make our creams and lotions are Certified Earth Kosher.

Xanthan Gum
A non-gelling thickener, that binds water, provides viscosity, adds volume and is a foam enhancer, emulsion stabilizer, lubricant and suspending agent. It provides excellent stability to our creams and lotions and is guaranteed highest purity levels.
